Community Partners International

Community Partners International (CPI)'s story begins in the war zones of eastern Myanmar (Burma) in the late 1990s. CPI's founders understood that the key to improving health services for conflict-affected and hard-to-reach communities was to support community-led local organizations as key service providers, helping them obtain the resources, capacity and information necessary to meet essential health and humanitarian needs. From these origins CPI expanded across Myanmar's border regions, and annual coverage of CPI-supported services exceeded one million people for the first time in 2009.

Heifer International

Heifer International is a global nonprofit working to eradicate poverty and hunger through sustainable, values-based holistic community development. Heifer distributes animals, along with agricultural and values-based training, to families in need as a means of providing self-sufficiency. Recipients agree to "pass on the gift" by donating animal offspring and sharing their knowledge of animal husbandry with other families in the community.

CARE International

CARE (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere) is a major international humanitarian agency delivering emergency relief and long-term development projects. Founded in 1945, CARE is nonsectarian, impartial and non-governmental. In 2019, CARE reported working in 104 countries, supporting 1,349 poverty-fighting and humanitarian projects, reaching over 92.3 million people directly.

USAID

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is an independent agency of the United States federal government primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance. With a budget of over $27 billion, USAID is one of the largest official aid agencies in the world.

Room to Read

Room to Read is a non-profit organization improving literacy and gender equality in education in the developing world. Founded on the belief that "World Change Starts With Educated Children," it develops literacy skills and the habit of reading among primary school children, and supports girls in completing secondary school with relevant life skills.

Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ)

The Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ) was established on 1 June 1986 and formally registered as NEFEJ on 23 August 1990, after Nepal became a democracy. It works on environmental communication and journalism across Nepal.

Save the Children

The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 to improve the lives of children through better education, health care and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war and other conflicts. It is now a global movement of 29 national member organisations working in 120 countries.

Ministry of Population and Environment

The Ministry of Population and Environment is the governmental body of Nepal that implements population and environment policies, plans and programmes.

UNDP

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nations' global development network. It promotes technical and investment cooperation among nations, provides expert advice, training and grant support to developing countries, with increasing emphasis on assistance to the least developed countries.

Helen Keller International (HKI)

Helen Keller International (HKI) is an international non-profit organization working in health and nutrition in Nepal since 1989, improving the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence-based research and programs.
